    i'm really enjoying this book!

i am suprised how RESPECTFUL kelley is towards Barbara Bush.

She also writes admirably about Prescott Bush & his Senate career.

i'm learning that The Bush FamilyTM always think of themselves as one step away from poor*, but instead of that making them more sympathetic, it makes them  more cutthroat, always on the hustle, always gaming the system.

& its ALL, EVERYTHING, is about moneymoneymoneymoneymoney.

    * even tho they have no idea what "poor" is

  •  Now why am I recommend this diary... (none / 1)

    I'll tell you why.

People in the heartland should read this book, or know of its facts.

This is not just pure gossip.

4 teams of lawyers have poured over every word in this book, and every fact claimed has at least one source named in the book and at least 2 unnamed publicly, but these names are with her lawyers.

    (Rant ON)
    Like I said before:

It's not just W doing drugs at Camp David, and not just HW Bush's Mistresses.

It seems that this book is about a family that began with strong and honorable people 100 years back which disintegrated into a power hungry tribe.  Sort of like when an honorable warrior wins the throne of England from a tyrant.  Then three generations down, his family, having never had to fight for anything, has become a bunch of rich sniveling brats who know nothing of the real world but hold on to power like oxygen.

It's not that they're just hypocrites with little in the way of family values.  They are the most powerful family in the world using the meekest as their pawns.
